KC didn’t have a bye. They played a Thursday night game

A good drinking game during the TV broadcast would've been to take a drink every time they showed Patrick Mahomes on the sideline. They just couldn't get enough of him. It got to be almost weird toward the end.

Lot of good things last night, but a few bad things, too. The right side of the OL was bad, especially Bulaga. That was one of his worst games ever. The Chiefs came with some LB blitzes, it was like the OL never saw that before. But, Bulaga was bad before the blitzes started, he just couldn't keep anyone in front of him.... Hopefully this was only an awful game for him and not a harbinger of things to come. He does breakdown a lot.

Still have to remember this is a totally new offense with a completely different OL system and two new guards. They definitely had communication issues in a tough place. I think, like with the entire team, the bye will be important for the OL.

There are legitimate worries about the defense. It seems to be getting softer as the season goes on. But this was never going to be an easy win unless Matt Moore completely stunk up the field, and he played pretty darn good. Arrowhead is a tough place to play, and the Chiefs are well-coached and have a lot of good players, even with the ones they were missing. They had emotion on their side too. Being a home game, this was a bigger game for them than it was for the Packers. The two Aarons were the difference for us. Fantastic performances from both of them, and a lot of their teammates chipped in as well. Also, the defense gets credit for forcing that last punt. The halftime adjustments on both sides of the ball seemed to work.

We only gave up 7 points in the 2nd half.  Pettine knew what he was doing. The self appointed gurus on this forum always think they know better.

You don't always have to like it (I don't), but our coaches had a good game plan.  KC is a good team.  This was marked as a loss in most preseason predictions.

Imagine this defense if Burks was roaming the middle of the field and Adams could give you a sack even every 3 games and some consistent pressure...

Hard to get consistent pressure when you're not on any rush units, or even consistently on the field. Idk how anyone can say Adam's doesn't flash? If there's a quick win up the middle it's 90 pretty often, all things in account. I dont know how he hasnt supplanted Lowry yet, Lowry has basically been invisible. I imagine he hasnt gotten all the way out of Petts doghouse. The guy hasnt even eclipsed Lane Taylor's snap number, he's the least used player that's actually in rotation.

Not really all directed at you here. Saw Adam's mentioned, I'm unhappy with how little he gets used.

Jackson looks like a miss- maybe a move to safety could work out. The other two have flashed.

It's a shame Burks and Adams got hurt so early in the season. They both had good camps and looked ready, especially Adams. He was good at the end of last season. He was real active in camp and the first game against Chicago. Then he hurt his shoulder... He's been invisible since then- too bad.

So....I fished hard before the game.  Watched the first half.  Fell asleep at halftime, woke up to see us kneeling down to win the game.

When I went to bed, we looked great on offense in the first quarter and really struggled against the blitz in the second quarter.  Couldn't pick it up, couldn't hit mismatches.

And Reid adjusted his offense and was feasting on us with Moore.  Lots of really cool plays designed to more or less build walls and running lanes crossers and stand up passes.

Without me going through 100 pages.....can a couple guys please post what happened in the second half?
