Why did the Browns like Stefanski so much?  All he has really accomplished was being able to stay on the staff with what three different head coaches in Minnesota.  And any offensive success they had this year which was a little, has to do with Gary Kubiak, his influence and Dennison as the OL coach, not Stefanski.

Robert Saleh would have been a better hire but he is not an offensive guy and clearly they want to please Baker.  Eric Bieniemy might have been ok, but honestly Mike Pettine was never that bad when they had him or Marvin Lewis would be a better option also arguably.

What has Saleh accomplished besides having a great defense for 1season? There are people in SF that believe Kris Kocurek is more responsible for their success than Saleh.

Bieniemy doesn’t even call plays , so he hasn’t accomplished much so far

Pettine is great D coordinator but it that doesn’t necessarily translate to being a good HC

Marvin Lewis is the definition of mediocre

You’re not wrong, but just like Stefanski he’s not being hired to coordinate.  People are putting s stupid amount of stock in 1 game it seems.

He was always a hard pass from me.

Yeah, he’s had his chance.

Wade would easily be our best DC since saban. Just give us a few of your last good years and we’ll be fine. Our window is now.

For once I’m going to agree with your insistence on coaches being of the Quiet Generation.

Phillips is old, but his defenses flat out produced.

He also runs a 1 gap 3-4, so the need for a complete personnel overhaul doesn’t really exist.
