Yea, happens that often, it's more than just bad luck IMO.  I don't know what it is probably a combination of many things, but it happens to them almost every year, and it's been true for the last decade plus.

Been true their entire existence. ‘94 Niner beatdown of them in their only their Super Bowl is probably the worst SB performance I’ve ever seen for that era.

How is it a choke to lose to a team that outclassed you?

A choke is both 1) Losing Any One Score Game Consistently  and 2) Getting absolutely dominated in a “big” game that means something. 

Choke can also mean you didn’t show up to a huge game basically.
