Honestly, I have no clue right now. I haven't watched any college football yet this year

I didn't even there was a college football season until I saw a man on tv brag about single-handedly saving the big 10 season.

Just kidding, I knew there was one, I just haven't watched any college ball at all this year.

I'd be looking at Edge first. I can't see Ford here next year because of both salary cap and health issues. We live and die by our front 4 so we have to strengthen the outside.

Edge is stacked in FA right now, so until I know how that shakes out, who re-signs, who is cut, etc, I would look to FA to address that first

I tried to search to see if we already had one..but we don't?

So what are our thoughts on the draft this up coming april.? Think we're picking in the top 10..we're going OL or CB?

It will be interesting to see how much it will take to trade up to get within the top ten though.

Of course not. You're Canadian and your attention was where it should have been.... Stanley cup playoffs

I've just been watching Georgia mainly...

Of their draft eligable players the don't really have much for us on offense. Their O-line is a strength but the players dont really fit our scheme. Possibly two running backs I guess...  Zamir (Zues) White, he was the #1 running back coming out three years ago. This is his first year back after two acls (one in each knee) and he has impressed me with his lateral agility in the first two games this season. I don't know if he has the top end speed that Shanny would covet though. James Cook (Dalvin's younger brother) I would imagine will be a mid to late round guy, he is fast enough to fit for Shanny but I don't know if he is tough enough.

On defense there are players everywhere as Georgia will most likely have the nations best defense this season with talent, experience and depth to burn.

On the line if you are looking for a NT type Jordan Davis might be the best thats come out in a couple years.  I doubt we are, but he's a very good player. Adam Anderson is a little light in the britches but he'd be a decent later pick for a straight pass rush specialist.

Azeez Ojulari is just one of those guys that you need on your team, I wouldn't say he has elite get off but he plays smart and he has plenty of talent. He will make some team very happy if he comes out next year. Listed as Jack, I suppose would be a Will for us.

Secondary players though should have some decent prospects from there. Richard Lecounte could be a good fit. I don't know if hes as fast but he's a playmaker in the mold of Budda Baker and the honey badger. They also have two corners Eric Stokes and Tyson Cambell. Tyson has elite h/w/s attributes but I don't know if I would call him a natural football player, he looks a little stiff at times. Eric Stokes has all world speed but I don't know if he fits the size profile we look for. He's listed at 6'1" however I would imagine that is a little exaggerated.

I don’t follow the NHL draft nearly as closely as the NFL, but it seemed like there were some crazy out of nowhere picks this year. It’ll be interesting to see how the NFL draft plays out this year in that regard especially with a number of players not being able to play this fall.

Forge, Forge, Forge... you see, the Stanley Cup is in "hockey". Hockey isn't played in the summer. I didn't miss anything. Now you're going to try to make me believe the NBA Finals are played in October, next, I bet...

Generally I know like the first / early second rounders....this year I knew waaaaaaaaaaaaay more because of the layoff and timing. I was probably far too into the NHL draft this year lol

So supposing we get a top 10 pick this year who is everyone looking at? I know Trey Lance's name has been thrown around a lot.

the problem is there's such a limited sample on him...he's so freaking raw. The talent is there, but he scares the hell out of me.

I think if he's available, barring things changing during the season (and he's not playing, keep in mind), I think I would go for him. I think you just have to take the risk at some point. I wouldn't have been completely freaked out if we had traded up to draft Jordan Love this year.

At what point do we start having our own fire sale? This season isn’t going to win us anything. Time to do our homework on our depth and the lack thereof at other positions.

Draft I could see us going in so many different ways. We have a lot of glaring needs, Oline, corner, pass rush, and qb seem to be the biggest.

FA is going to be insane this off-season and we may very well draft top-7 in this draft. This could be a blessing in disguise honestly. It's just sad we're in this position at all after almost winning the Super Bowl.

I'm already on the Trey Lance hype train. I think he'll be available when we pick also. TOP 15. If this team drafts another D-Linemen with the 1st pick im going to flip.

I mean, if they move on from Dee Ford, regardless of his restructuring..it's going to become a round 1 need imo. But yes, I agree on some level.

As for Trey Lance, from what little i've watched (of highlight reels, mind you), you can see incredible physical tools but he seems like a 1 read and run QB nor does he keep his eyes down field consistently. That said, I'm pretty sure he had a 15 minute reel of him on youtube just on scoring plays. So the guy has clearly been doing something very right at his level.
