My wife wanted to watch "The Rookie: Feds" and the lead character is just unbearable. She can apparently tell who is guilty just by looking at them, has no consequences whatsoever for not following orders (or chain of command), and all you need to solve crimes is sass.

Sounds delightful

Mayor of Kingstown season 1 was a solid watch, Renner was very good in it.

Season 2 has gotten off to an unbelievable start through the first two episodes.  This show isn't for everyone, especially not the meek, but it's getting better and better

I think I'm probably waiting for the entire season to be available, though I should probably re-consider it. Season 1 wasn't exactly bingeable LOL. If season 2 is even more intense, I doubt I'm knocking his out in 2 days.

I really enjoyed season 1.

I wouldn't even say more intense, just better storytelling, and there's already been a couple standout acting scenes.

See, 1899 getting cancelled before I even started it is why I don’t care to even start most of these streaming shows. Netflix especially. They just blast out infinite content with no interest in seeing any of it through, even if people like it.

Thats why they need to make more stuff like midnight mass

A beginning, middle, and end in one season.

And then move on

Not a bad idea to only do miniseries. Then maybe evaluate from there if it’s a tremendous hit.

If you had watched it, maybe they wouldn’t have cancelled it.

I kid. I had no interest in watching that show anyway.

I’ve always liked Gen x narrative comedy movies and figured they’d come and gone, a bygone era. But Jason Segel’s Shrinking feels like a return to that. You really just don’t see Segel or other similar actors to him as the lead in this kind of stuff anymore. The show doesn’t seem firmly on this planet, devoid of actual believability or realism in some regards but overall appears to have potential to be watchable at the least. I expect campy and kinda dumb but fun because it’s a niche I enjoy.
