I actually stand by that comment. They have talent but you can pound the ball on them and there were deep shots to be taken, but we had nobody who could get deep. I hope we see them in the playoffs. I don't think they are built to come to Lambeau. Although, I said that about the Vick led Falcons too. That didn't work out so well. Not sure what your deal is with insisting ARI is not a legit team. They are. Aren't you the same guy who predicted ARI would miss the playoffs this season and Kingsbury would be fired?

They are going to make the playoffs. They are going nowhere in those playoffs, my prediction. Yes, I did predict they would not make the playoffs. They have surprised so far this year on that front. craig
https://cheeseheadtv.com/blog/packers-snap-counts-versus-the-cardinals-week-eight-550 Snaps. Winfree/EQ/Cobb/Rodgers/Taylor: 54/67/50/16/5. I thought it was interesting that Winfree was in 73% of the snaps. Other than MVS and Adams, he might be the only other "wide" receiver that they have? Seemed like he was consistently an outside guy, and he got 6 targets. Mixed bag for him. I thought he looked pretty good, and he just looks like an NFL guy. Thought he made some good solid catches, and was nicely open. But then he had two crummy drops, one very crucial during the two-minute drill. If he catches that for a modest 5-yard gain, it sets up a different 2nd-down call. *IF* they had gotten into field goal range, the whole 4th quarter drama might have played out totally differently. (Heh heh, if up by 6 instead of 9, they don't need to go for it one 4th-and-goal, just chipping in a field goal makes it 9 points, easy...) Plus he fumbled. Man, he was SO close to a possible TD on that play, so close to getting free with room to run. I also thought the drop on the 2-minute drill, Rodgers could have placed that a little higher and little further outside, it woudl have been so much easier of a catch, and with better opportunity to drag defender and maybe even get out of bounds. I also thought he had a step on the defense on an end-zone play, but Rodgers placed the ball well behind him. had the ball been located in front of him, he had the defense beat and could have had his first TD. I thought he looked pretty acrobatic on that one to almost be able to contort and almost catch the bat throw. Anyway, I thought he looked like he might hypothetically end up being good. Heh heh, if Adams leaves, Winfree seems to be kinda built like Adams and might end up getting some of those snaps and packages.

That small sample has me wishing it would have occurred. I expect this game may very well have earned Gray a DC job somewhere next season. It’s possible and with his resume, it wouldn’t be undeserved. The league has trended towards younger “innovative ” coaches so there may be fewer teams that would go the OG veteran route. I was really happy when we picked him up, even mores so after this season and this past game.
skibrett15
looked like a game of 4th downs from the replays, but we also lost that battle seemingly. And then the clincher INT was just incredible! Really disappointing to see that Amari Rodgers can't carve out any sort of offensive role with 3 guys injured/out ahead of him. This was his week and he just didn't get any burn. 16 snaps

If we get him back, even if he's limited to pass rush situations only, this defense could turn into something pretty darn good. I said a few times this off-season that if this D was healthy it could have been the best unit that Aaron has played with. If Z and Jaire were healthy, I’m pretty sure I woulda been right. This D is incredible .

Mazrimiv
I don't think many Packers fans can claim to have expected GB to come out of the ARI/KC games at better than 1-1. GB is playing with house money at this point. The team getting to 7-1 after that week 1 performance is nothing short of amazing.

RC, a player in a similar mold looked more like he belonged his first year but really jumped his second year. I wonder if we have Amari run kickoffs now or get a backup WR with more acceleration or better yet a touchback specialist to prevent further injury. I propose Richard Rodgers, you know he’s not running it back and you know he’s not dropping it. Fills the backup TE/Hailmary position, as well.
