This is the route I take as well, though if they go with the short term extension I don't think it's the worst thing. 

But I just hate, hate, hate these type of QBs lol

Not with this QB history, they don't have the leverage to search through another 20 drafts to find the guy.

I think Cleveland can do what Jacksonville did with Blake Bortles - give Mayfield a 3 year deal with a team option on the 3rd year, at roughly $28-30mm/yr. Not top of market money, or years - but keeping him in town to see if this year was due to injury. 

I think too many people want to judge Mayfield in a year where he's clearly injured.

Those guys were chased out in one year and Cleveland was a cesspool when it came to talent.

Baker will be given five years on a loaded team, but has shown zero growth. In fsct, one can argue he has REGRESSED. He is a LIABILITY to the Browns, not an ASSET.
