I think it’s fair to question Baker’s commitment to the game based on the fact that he doesn’t even look like he’s in good shape. Guy has the physical form of a 55 year old accountant

I don't think he lacks commitment to the game, but he eats out a lot (I live in Charlotte).

He’s rumored to be a hardcore gamer too. I don’t have an issue with that, but there were rumors that he was up late playing COD before the packers game.

I brought this up Baker's 2nd year in the league and was dragged through the coals for saying it. Dude looked/looks like how I'm going to look in 15 years, and I'm already older than he is and not a pro athlete.

Yep. As with Kyler Murray, if you ball out, nobody cares, but if not, it's a really bad look. Kind of the opposite of the whole "Jerry Rice" montra, where Rice is/was running hills in his downtime, or Peyton Manning diagnosing film an incredible amount in the season/off-season, or Jalen Hurts doing extra lifts after games.

Prediction: Commanders will claim QB Baker Mayfield.

It's what I would do. Sam Howell isn't near ready, Wentz has zero confidence & bad pinky finger.

You saw the O-line last night vs Giants. Heinicke is on borrowed time before that line gets him decapitated.

Bye week coming up. Claim Baker & get him involved in Turners offense.

Baker will backup Heinicke. It's gonna happen, cause it's what I would do & a genius move.

Also keeps him away from Other playoff teams like Niners & such.

But DAMN he looked so much worse here than even I thought.  I viewed him as an average QB.  But here, he didn't even look like he should be one of 32 starting QBs.   I never saw the arm strength that was supposed to be one of his best attributes.

I agree with all of this. I was shocked at how bad he's been this year. He was mainly decent for the Browns when healthy.

...but the arm? The dude has an absolute cannon for an arm. Probably top 5 arm in the league. It may have fallen off, but at least when he was in Cleveland, that thing was elite.

Welcome to LA for a few months Baker

It's a smart move for us if McVay likes him as much as I think he does. We avoid the comp pick formula this offseason, and Baker gets to show McVay and co. how he fits in the locker room and his ability to learn/execute the playbook during the latter half of the year. He may not even play, but just seeing how he fits and his work habits is invaluable.
