He has a $45M cap hit. His salary is $35M, and the team is carrying $10M on the books from his signing bonus. Just like how his salary in 2021 may be $21M, his cap hit is $31M, again, due to the $10M worth of signing bonus. His $35M salary in 2022 is guaranteed, so he’s making that money whether he’s in Minnesota or somewhere else. Or, unless he agrees to a new contract that spreads the money around, again, whether that’s here or elsewhere. Well, it's only based on the last 4 years, in which they only didn't have a pick in 2017 (Sam Bradford trade). Its probably been skewed because of the complete busts of Treadwell and Hughes and the underwhelming performance thus far of Bradbury. SemperFeist
I’m taking any chart that has the Jets and the Lions in the top half with a massive grain of salt.

Ozzy
Vikings have to keep track of the Chiefs and who they get rid of on the OL. They are very deep, what will keep 7-9 guys on the OL. Strangely enough might start two rookies in Humphrey and Trey Smith depending on what Duvernay-Tardif situation is. LT Orlando Brown Jr / Mike Remmers / Prince Tega Wanogho LG Joe Thuney / Nick Allegretti C Creed Humphrey / Austin Blythe / Darryl Williams RG Trey Smith / Laurent Duvernay-Tardif / Yasir Durant / Kyle Long RT Lucas Niang / Mike Remmers / Andrew Wylie Could mean guys like Andrew Wylie could be cut, or Darryl Williams or even Austin Blythe if Humphrey is the starter. Not to mention Allegretti but doubt they cut him. Oh and Prince Tega Wanogho has a lot of athletic ability and upside. Still they have a crazy deep OL and could get decent players who are cut from that group but most of the NFL already knows that.
vike daddy
Minnesota waived/injured kicker Riley Patterson and wide receiver Blake Proehl, both of whom signed as undrafted free agents. If those two go unclaimed, they will revert to the Vikings’ IR. Operating under the assumption that both players revert to the IR, they will have to wait a minimum of three games before they can play for the team again. With that in mind, the Vikings’ kicker competition got more clear. Greg Joseph is the only kicker on Minnesota’s active roster at the moment. On Saturday against the Broncos, Joseph hit both of his field goals in the 33-6 loss. As reported by Stephen Igoe of 247 Sports, Proehl’s knee injury, that he suffered during training camp, is expected to put an end to his 2021 season. Currently, there has been no official reports as to how serious Patterson’s injury is.
