skibrett15
run defense doesn't really matter if you can score a few points and stop the pass. Don't sweat the run D, every defense lives and dies by defending the pass. Gotta defend the quick, medium and deep pass game well. Right now our biggest defensive weakness has been deep passing and tackling vs the short pass/spread screen game. We seem to be pretty good on the intermediate stuff. Rushing Yards Allowed p/Game: 107.8 (15th) (League leader: PHILLY - 63.8) After this week yes. We were 26th after last week. Do consider the opponent we played, however. Buffalo has the worst rushing game in the league.

They dont consider opponent played, strength of schedule, home/away, field conditions, time zones, longitudes and latitudes, proximity to solar flares. None of that stuff. They're just an average of the entire season after four weeks - and based on our being ranked 15th in rushing yards allowed each week - we're not terrible. Not great - but not terrible. Arthur Penske
i know there’s more to playing safety than INTs And HaHa has had some poor games but that’s good. id love to see him paired with another elite safety prospect, ours CBs, and an improved Pass rush ? A team like GB needs to be able to stop the run. Every team we face is going to look to control clock and keep #12 on the sideline. Now granted you can control clock with a short passing game too but a run game is the easiest to do it with. Look at when we play Dallas, they force Rodgers to be pretty much perfect (and he has been) because they run Zeke, get in 3rd and manageable and move the chains. Really with our defense it's about stops, allowing a fast score or two on a deep ball isn't really that bad when Aaron is your QB. Give him more time to wear down that opposing D for the 4th Q. Lodestar
If nothing else, the INTs are good for HaHa and his agent.
TheOnlyThing
Ben Fennell @BenFennell_NFL Defensive 3 & Outs... 1. GB 16/47 - 34.0% 2. CHI 14/45 - 31.1% Obviously skewed by the Buffalo game, but this is one of the most positive differences, thus far, in the defense in comparison to past seasons. Seattle, Arizona, and Tampa Bay. Not exactly tough tests.
