RaidersAreOne
Arizona is making 24-year-old, two-time, Pro-Bowl selection Budda Baker the highest-paid safety in the NFL history, giving him a four-year, $59 million contract extension ($14.75M average per year), sources tell ESPN. Asked about the deal, agent @DavidMulugheta confirmed it.
Malfatron
NSFL stud Budda Baker. Very happy for him, and I hope he has continued success
RuskieTitan
Holy smokes. I mean I thought he's done well so far in his career, but top 5 safety never really crossed my mind. Good for him and his agent, but feel like the Cardinals were bidding against themselves.

Agreed, good for him. I've been following him ever since Oregon tried to land him and Myles Jack. Fun to watch, but didn't think he was considered a top 5 guy. I haven't watched many Cardinals game recently though. That's gong to be a fun team to watch moving forward.

ET80
Get that bag, Budda. I had a man-crush on him, thought he was a clone of Bob Sanders and figured he'd be this good...
Oregon Ducks
Lol talk about an overpay.
LuckyNumber11
He’s started getting some respect. Made the top 100 this year and has been put in a lot of top 10 safety rankings this year. I was expecting us to pay him top 5 safety money but tops in the league? Yeesh He hasn’t stopped developing yet though and here’s to hoping he continues to trend in the right direction

minutemancl
Budda is very good, but I definitely did not expect him to be the next safety to reset the market. Good for him.
AFlaccoSeagulls
This is the typical "kinda good but clearly not the best guy at his position setting the market so that in a short while the actual best player at the position can easily surpass this" deal. Still happy for Budda, he's a good player.
DirtyDez
I think his arc was inching to elite but I would’ve liked to have seen them wait for a year to do this. Bidwill likes paying guys early.
Deadpulse
Jamal Adams is probably happy to see this. 40 minutes ago, ET80 said: Get that bag, Budda. Let's hope this leg of his career is different than Bob though
BucsDraftGeek47
is he really even worth half of this?
