The only good 1st round pick under Mayock has been Jacobs. This is what happens when you reach on picks. You end up getting bums like Arnette, Ferrell and Leatherwood.

Even Jacobs is lackluster. He's rarely (aka: virtually never) healthy, his YPC is atrocious, he rarely (aka: virtually never) breaks long gains, and even when healthy is hardly a game breaking RB.

He's a worthy enough RB, but not a franchise RB, his production is generally replaceable (We've seen guys considered "lesser" backs be as effective, if not outright better than him). Hardly what you expect from a 1st round pick.

How are they 5-3?

When you think about the most important positions on the field, the Raiders are still good at most of them, which slightly covers the deficiencies. Carr has been really good this year, Kolton Miller is a great LT, Crosby & Ngakoue is one of the best DE combos in the league.

You can almost afford to screw up some other things when you’re reliable at the key positions. But the frustrating thing about that is that with a semi-competent draft in 2019 and 2020 this could have been a really good team instead of the middle of the pack effort it’ll probably end up being.

Y'all seriously would have been better off just having FF vote on your picks. Mayock and Gruden have been truly impressive in their ineptitude.

Yep, seriously. In the Raiders forum we do a Me v Mayock draft thread and also Big Board thread each year and I recently went through the picks over the last few years that the forum would have made and it was undeniably 100% better. Zero doubt 😂

Raider fans think he should take a team discount on his next extension. They should pay him double. Has a QB ever dealt with as much distraction as this poor guy.

Let Washington pay him $60M/year

This is another in a string of disastrous events for the Raiders organization.  I do respect them for cutting a knucklehead like this, however.  They are sending a message and backing it up with their actions that says this kind of behavior will not be tolerated.  Props to them for that!
