They're essentially trading a second for a big free agent signing.

BroncoBruin
I can’t say I’ve watched a ton of Bears games, but the decline in QB hit numbers since 2019 looks like a pass rusher who is still definitely effective but past his prime.

Raiders do have a solid roster and McDaniels and Graham are two of the best offensive/defensive minds in the game. Although a healthy Ravens might have something to say about 4 AFC West playoff teams. We’ll how the Raiders respond to this trade though. They might trade Carr to Indy and just call it a year. RaidersAreOne
Just wait until they draft Jordan Davis.

Didn't say it wasn't a nice grab for the Chargers. He'll look great on the sidelines for them while he spends the season on IR.
Forge
The biggest concern I would think for Mack is health. Missed 10 games last year and on the wrong side of 30. Hasn't hit 10 sacks since 2018, but I think he's been a pressure machine.
ThatJaxxenGuy
HEAT Mack as the number 2 threat after Bosa is going to be dangerous. also he probably wasn’t as motivated in the past cause the Bears were going nowhere. I’d hate to have to block Mack in a playoff game Edited March 10, 2022 by ThatJaxxenGuy

Yeah, with the way Carr's contract works, the Raiders have a TON of flexibility. New GM, new HC, if there's a year to do the reboot, well, QB market is VERY seller-friendly (as long as the QB doesn't have a no-trade clause - only reason IMO Wilson didn't get 3 1sts +). He's still dominant when he plays, but yeah, age is starting to catch up to him. But if you don't need him to be Superman....jeez, that's scary. Dead serious - if Chargers get Jordan Davis Rd1 (move up if you need to) - REALLY scary D. Gonna be a great WC team this year, and once you're in the playoffs, well, anything can happen. Magnifico
Good move by LA. They should be doing all they can to get JC Jackson to LA in Free Agency and a servicable TE if Cook isn't being retained. Compensation is fine for Chicago. They're not competing anytime soon, and don't need the contract.
