By 2022, car trades for Darnold and Baker in back to back offseasons. Baker being available because cle got Watson. imagine telling someone this in 2018

While Rosen has been out of the league entirely for a while.

I felt at the time that that was a cringe inducingly overhyped class ("nobody stands out so let's just hope the 2nd tier guys in it are top tier ones" attitude), and feel pretty vindicated about it now.

Lamar and Allen have gone on to be superstars who justified going in the 1st and their teams would take them again in a heartbeat if given a time machine, but both were very much projects that took a unique system for one and a few years development for the other to truly excel.

He took the pay cut voluntarily. No one made him do it. That’s on him.

Reportedly has incentives that will earn the lost money back. For a difference of 3 ish million guaranteed, it is a smart move for Baker to bet on himself; as opposed to just pocketing the 18 mil this year, sitting around, either through the season or training camp, and letting last season be the most recent body of work he put on the field.

Non starting words for me in the sports world:

Humiliating

Pressure

Underpaid

Sacrifice

…without proper competitive context

It’s just a pro Watson person wanting to put down the guy Watson is replacing. There is no other reason for it. It’s evident in the locked thread and it reeks of it here.

Rosen played for the Falcons last season in relief of Matt Ryan.
