What happened over the last year that people are expecting something vastly different from Trubisky? His body should be near 100%, but what else is there?

Just not in Chicago is a huge start.

Chase Claypool is a top 3 WR apparently.

Possibly real NFL coaching?

Pretty sure even Nagy was trying to teach him to keep his eyes up when he felt pressure in the pocket. Some things you can't 'coach' out of people.

I thought he was a bust when they drafted him. Nothing has changed my mind to this point. I'm not seeing what others do in this guy.

Nagy was an awful coach for him.  He didn't let the kid do much that came naturally to him.

Talent wise?  Fields has talent.  Lots of it.  Strong arm.  Very quick and fast.

The issue I had with him is Ohio State.  I viewed him as a frontrunning QB.  His talent was always superior to the other's team talent.  In college.

With the Bears, it wasn't and still isn't going to be that way.  I'm not sure that the kid has ever played a game, prior to the NFL when his team was at the competitive disadvantage.  Until last year.  And he got killed.

But, if his first read is open, the kid can hit his drop and throw a laser.  The issue is that he processes slowly and he wasn't running right away.  The more he ran the better he got.

Nagy should have incorporated some zone/read stuff for him.  Let him read a defense, look for a first read and if it isn't there, designed run.  Keep it simple.  But, that is just my opinion.

I still think Fields has a chance to make it.  Talent is still there.  The question to me becomes, does he want it after getting beat up last year?

This was always the obvious ending to the lawsuit side of things. While it was nice lawyer-coached speak for Watson to say he wanted to fight and "clear his name," these cases were always going to be settled, likely with very strong confidentiality agreements.

Reportedly Treylon Burks is on tap to start the season 3rd on the Titans depth chart.  Are we still mad we didn't trade up for him, since he's by all accounts not yet a revelation.

3rd? I would have guessed even lower lol. Has he even practiced yet

I think he is in a tough spot with the AJ brown trade, that offense, the QB, etc.

There is a lot to overcome, and he has to do it early in his career.

As far as from GB perspective… I think trading up for any of the WRs, was going to be a stretch. And given where everyone went… I personally didnt see any one worth trading up for at the spots GB would of needed to. So I wasn’t mad at all with GBs strategy.

I think the more interesting debate will be watching Pickens, Pierce and Moore compared to Watson. And see if GB even needed to trade up in the second.

I was responding about Trubisky, not Fields.
