Ty21
Bummer cause its never good to see such obvious mental health issues for an (previously, as the top dog) esteemed and talented athlete but leaving and calling it a career like that is the most AB move ever. Buc Ball
1 minute ago, typecast said: There are like 4 different takes coming from sources within the TB organization about this. He wasn't benched and quit when asked to play hurt. He was on a snap count and was benched. He was benched then asked to go back in. He simply wasn't benched and just quit. TB can't get the story straight. What the story is is ultimately irrelevant. Brown’s reaction to it is what’s got him cut. I’d be more suspicious if the organisation had its story straight at this point. We won’t know what actually happened for a while.

No matter what the cause was, AB is clearly in the wrong for leaving mid game, but strange there’s no straight story. I'm just waiting for the Bucs to put him on IR for the ankle then AB have a workout in his driveway showing his ankle isn't an issue.

With mental health awareness you can actually pretend to be virtuous so you have an out there. People said they wouldn't win it all last year

And they had Brown last year. And Godwin.
Oregon Ducks
Was AB always like this? I feel like he was propped up as a great example for how a football player should behave for most of his tenure in Pittsburgh. I wonder what changed? Jlowe22
We all knew it was a matter of time. It's a miracle he lasted as long as he did.

Whether the benching was for some other antics, or just not performing well enough, I'm not sure.

TheKillerNacho
what even happened to set him off?
Kmart128
I said when he signed with the Bucs that he doesnt belong in the league. Arians deserves all the backlash for allowing him to be on the team. It was clear 2 years ago dude was a nutcase.
RuskieTitan
Sidenote: If Tampa Bay doesn't repeat, does this prove that AB > TB when it came to winning their Super Bowl? 🤔 Discuss.
