Nothing to really worry about. Death rate has plummeted from over 20% to under 6% during Februrary. Small children or seniors or those with immune deficiencies may be at risk, but a young healthy person like most of us here are just going to feel like crap for a while.

82% of all cases are considered mild anyways.

It is likely that it came from an animal disease that crossed over to humans.

if you get it you are more likely to recover from it at home by yourself than to need to go to hospital, and then if you go to hospital you are likely to not need ventilation, and then if you need a ventilator you are likely to recover, if all that fails, you pass away.

The mortality rate climbs the older you get, males over 70 and 80 die at a rate under 10% in china of those infected, while no under 10s have died so far.  Death rates in china will be higher than the west based on two factors, they have less hospital beds per capita and terrible air pollution.

Men are more likely to die in china, but men smoke more than women there. Also comorbid and people who are immunocompromised are more likely to die.

Odds are we all survive this.

Outside of China. Only 2.68% of cases are considered "Serious/Critical" at this point in time. Look to your left, look to your right, and then in 34 other directions, one of you is having a bad time due to the Corona Virus.
