Daniel Jeremiah mocked Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to the Raiders.

Would be an interesting fit with Gus Bradley. I mentioned before that he reminds me of a Derwin James in terms of what you can do with him.

What did Morrow say? Do you have a link?  I’m very interested to here what he said now.

i don’t like JOK at 17 Simply Because you either have to be a great pass rusher or a Stud MLB who can cover to be worth a pick that high.  Plus we have Littleton at WILL already.  JOK is too small to play SAM.

Positional value definitely played into it.  You could see that the interior is what made that defense go.  I think if we get Tomlinson and a good 3T I believe Ferrel would look a lot better.

Again... everyone forgets Ferrell was mocked to us by the vast majority of mock drafts at the end of the college football season.  People always knew he wasn’t a bendy, speed rusher.  His skill set has been known and unchanged for several years.
I know it’s cool To knock Ferrell now and he was absolutely over drafted.  But at this pace we’ll hear he was the 2nd best DE on the team by the time the draft comes around.

I don’t remember the exact quote, but it was pretty much saying how the defense lacked accountability from the players and coaches.

Obviously he’s telling the truth, but it’s an interesting thing to say publicly. Could be nothing, but it has always stuck with me.

I don’t think it’s set in stone that Littleton will be playing “Will LB” wouldn’t be surprised to see Gus move him to MLB while moving Kwiat to SAM. Need your MLB to be extremely athletic for the cover 3. Just my two cents on that.

I have been knocking the Ferrel pick since the day we made it.  Almost as bad as KC taking Tyson Jackson.  At pick #4 I was a Devin White guy for 98% of the offseason.  The other 2% was hoping Williams would fall to us or Allen if we needed a pass rusher.

I don’t think it’s set in stone that Littleton will be playing WILL either.... well I should say I could see Littleton playing SAM in certain sets if we retain Morrow or get another WILL.  CL was a 34OLB at Washington so him playing SAM in a 43 Over.  34OLB and 43 OVER have a lot of similarities.  Littleton is actually a pretty decent rusher off the edge.

The benefit of playing him at SAM would be better coverage and speed at LB.  CL is way better in zone coverage and gets good depth on his drops.  Having CL at SAM and Morrow or another WILL plus Kwiatkowski at MLB would us good coverage underneath.  Kwiatkowski proved he also gets great depth on his drops as seen by that 1 handed INT vs Denver.

The downside is CL at SAM would give us less pass rush than if we had a more typical SAM for this defensive scheme.

Overall Is prefer to have CL as the WILL in the base defense and a lengthy, athletic SAM who can set the edge, rush the Passer on 2nd down (I think we need to blitz the SAM occasionally on 2nd down), and hold his own in Zone coverage.

I really haven't looked at too many prospects so far but a guy that really caught my eye was Chris Rumph.

Listed very light for a pass rusher although he doesn't look way too small and I'd be thinking of him as a specialist speed rusher and rotation guy but I wonder if he'll last into round 2 or 3 due to size. 1st round seems too rich for a rotation guy and I really want a 3T there..........

I think Jerry was being serious about it helping the team.  I still think a group from here could do better than our last few FO's and coaches.

I think there is evidence in our yearly Big Board threads that you sadly may not be too far off with that thought 😁.....😬.....😔

I don't know what you mean by this.

The way the draft played out, Josh Allen was supposed to be the consensus pick for the Raiders by the end of the college season. Honestly, a lot of mocks right up to the draft had Allen going before the Raiders' pick. It still baffles me how Mayock missed such an easy layup.

I also remember catching heat for wanting Gary over Ferrell (since posters were adamant that Allen wasn't big and strong enough for Guenther's system).

I recall this fan base saying he was too small for Guenther's system. And he couldn't be an every down DE.

Yes, he's probably not PG's prototype. Allen isn't either. I'm just saying Burns is better than Allen. So if you're going to wish we had drafted someone, Burns is the guy.
