I’m open to suggestions instead of taking accountability away from players and the league and just blaming “Vegas”.  It’s an NFL issue. And needs to be addressed. Other sports and celebs do not have this issue. Vegas Golden Knights zero arrests and incidents. A’s likely the same thing.

This is probably the closest to where I am with regards to this. It's not a "Vegas" issue...but could just be an NFL issue. Not even a football issue...LIS, you don't hear about UNLV players constantly in trouble, or significant issues stemming from the Las Vegas bowl or shrine bowl. There were a lot of NFL players partying...there are vids of the 49ers partying in Vegas for the pro bowl and obviously nothing came from it. IF the report is to be believed, what happened was not a vegas issue but definitely a person issue. That kind of stuff will definitely happen just about anywhere....if someone is setting you off like that, I doubt that it's stuck to time / place. More likely a matter of when.

But the truth is, the sample is pretty limited and this run isn't exactly  unprecedented across the NFL (which is more of an indictment on the NFL, though in truth with 53 man rosters, we are bound to hear these stories more than we will from the smaller rosters of competing NHL, MLB, NBA)

At this point, it just needs more time to breathe. They haven't been in Vegas long enough to know whether or not this is really an issue. You have a DUI from Jacobs, a DUI from Ruggs (with horrific results), and then Arnette and Kamara. Arnette has always been a headcase, and while Kamara has kept a clean life after getting drafted, he has had a history that wouldn't make this the most shocking thing either. The DUIs are an act of stupidity, but not an outlier for the NFL (You can basically throw out the Hobbs situation...that dude just needs to lose his license, but his first incident was basically thrown out because he wasn't drunk and the second one is ostensibly speeding, which we have seen numerous times before). Seattle had Geno and Richard Sherman get hit for that his year and I'm sure that there are others .

There may come a time where the partnership has to be evaluated, but that time really isn't now (and frankly I doubt that it's ever that bad where it really, truly needs to be evaluated). The sample size is just too small.

Sorry man, I had to mention it lol. I was still living in Cincinnati at the time, so it's pretty vivid in my head even still lol

Seems like forever ago. It’s amazing how things can change so drastically so quickly. I appreciate Marvin Lewis’ time here, but his culture doesn’t compare to what we have going right now. It gives hope to every lacklustre team out there.

The NFL has ruled that the victim was taunting Kamara.

They gave the victim a 15 yard penalty and fined Kamara 15k.

Ppl laugh - until the victim refuses to testify, and the DA cuts a misdemeanor plea deal, and the victim walks away with a six-figure bank account.    And then the NFL hands down some meaningless 2-game suspension (or less).

Unless Kamara goes to the Patriots.   Then Kamara gets a year+, and TB12 is going to be banned from the HOF for being "generally aware".

"their stories are strange"

"which part"

"the part where its strange"

Clear as mud.

Guy says he was innocently making conversation with Kamara and his group then gets attacked over an elevator ride. That is strange.

Kamara says the guy was talking crap and they got into it, but gives some details that don't add up with the alleged video of the incident. That is strange as well.

Seems both may be telling partial truths about the incident. Regardless, it sounds like it was dumb of Kamara.

Didn't see the video or hear anyone's stories... so take my opinion with that in mind...

There is zero chance this guy gets attacked over "innocent conversation". Kamara hasn't shown he has a temper at all. Bad judgment yes, but not a temper.

There is also zero chance that Kamara shouldn't have just walked away. Nothing the guy said was during a conversation was worth assaulting him, assuming there wasn't threats/posturing/contact to make you think an attack was likely.

I think charges go down to almost nothing, if they don't disappear completely. Kamara likely misses a game or two depending on the outcome. Victim gets paid.

It was a joke and snark, heavy on the snark.  The NFL let Tyreek Hill skate after hitting his kid.

As far as I can recall he admitted doing so at the airport while threatening his fiancé with more beatings.

Nothing would surprise me about Kamara getting little or no punishment.

Per ESPN:

"Kamara said he saw a fight break out next to him and saw the man get punched. When asked why he punched the man, Kamara indicated that he thought the man was running away and had done something to his group -- so he chased him and punched him several times."

Yeah, no temper at all.

Screw this guy, hope he rots in jail for a bit. No excuses. But Bobby Hebert will inevitably defend him.

Some guy in a bar gropes a woman and then gets his *** kicked by her significant other, he had an *** kicking coming, and if i'm on the jury the verdict would not be guilty unless he maimed him for life.  There's a time and a place for everything.

You can do whatever you want, I agree. But it's still against the law.

Video surveillance shows New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara punching a man approximately eight times before Kamara's associates proceeded to stomp on him several more times on the ground in a Las Vegas casino Saturday morning, according to the police report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Not only did Kamara do this, Kamara's associates joined in as well.

I'd be all for banning that clown from the league

Man, if Kamara would saved this for the football field, Sean Payton would have given him $15k

Careful. Who Dat never did truly come to terms with accepting just how despicable that ordeal was. "EvErYoNe DoEs It".

Drew Brees will probably throw another hissy and slam whoever "broke the code" and released the footage.

Guarantee someone on WWL will be saying it's Roger Goodell's fault.

Kamara is clearly and unequivocally in the wrong and deserves to be kicked out of the league, blacklisted, and jailed for a while as he spends the rest of his fat contract paying this guy out for life. But someone will absolutely go beyond reason to defend the indefensible, and unfortunately, the league will almost inevitably follow suit and the Saints will give some token punishment at best.

While you’re we’re at it, let’s put him in solitary and then give him the death penalty.
