Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy arrested

Um, this is a total nothing burger.     The kicker here is that in Colorado, as soon as there is ANY domestic crime accusation - there is ZERO choice, there is an arrest & booking without bail.  There is no choice in the matter.  That's why Jeudy gets arrested.

From the Sheriff's office, though, there's extreme clarity:

That's the Sheriff's office spokesperson, to be clear.    Pretty easy to see the allegation is pretty minor.   And before any more wild baseless accusations get thrown around, the Sheriff's office went one step further:

And, again, for those who aren't aware about Colorado law regarding arrests:

So yeah - anyone who jumped to conclusions, maybe just backtrack now.    When the Sheriff's Office gives that kind of clarity on the nature of the accusations, stressed no violence at all, and ppl understand Colorado's law gives no choice on arrest without bond, pretty easy to see this isn't going anywhere.      Kinda why the facts need to come out before jumping to conclusions.

Make no mistake, DV is a serious problem and should be treated seriously.    This clearly isn't that situation with Jeudy.  Moving on.

mmmkay. So he locked his girls wallet and baby stuff in his car because she took his phone and wouldn't give it back.

This seems like middle school drama that somehow resulted in a arrest

I'll never in my life understand how people end up being this immature.

Yeah but there is such thing as prepping your players to be men. Its not Sabans fault at the end of the day--but at the same time he has a obligation to build players character and prepare them for life after school. Thats part of their recruitment process to get players to play there.

You dont see this happening at other major universities. For example, Ohio St. who has the same amount of players in the NFL as Alabama you dont generally hear a peep about off the field. I can say that tOSU preaches a ton about growth, development and preparation for the real world with a great education post-football. They even have classes for student athletes called 'Real Life Wednesdays' where they teach these types of things and how to prepare you for life after college. They use 'development of young men with post-graduation support' as a selling point to recruits.

Its not the coaches fault, but some schools I am willing to bet go further to teach young men values/morals/development than others do.

U got guys like aj hawk and Bobby carpenter to be the mentors.

so why isn't she in jail too for stealing his phone - sounds like they did the same thing to eachother but only Jeudy is behind bars?

serious question.

Because the teacher likes her more than him.

Likely find out tomorrow.  But as soon as something is labeled domestic it can’t be resolved.  That’s Colorado law.   No way around it.  Sounds like the 2 were in a previous relationship.  Which triggered the domestic label.

Point being the dispute by the SO’s own report clearly is minor.  But the domestic label created an onus to treat it accordingly.  I have no problem with it.  No statute is perfect.  If this is the fallout so be it.   It protects far more than it hurts.  Just creates a lot of sensationalism where it doesn’t apply here.

Clearly there is one person who called the cops and wanted to press charges. With knowing nothing of their situation, I can imagine if they are both locked up and someone needed the baby formula it would be pretty important they got it.

He was acting like a child, pretty embarrassing. I don’t think the law that required him to go to jail is probably a great law as it stands, probably could use a tweak….

this is not a big deal at the end of the day, but my god just grow up a little lol

Because in these situations they always arrest the man regardless of who called the police. Out of safety precaution it’s built into the system that way.

Honestly the rest of your teams receivers are good enough. In fact, even more so. Jeudy could end up as a high end #2 or even a decent #1, but he won't be critical to your teams success.

Courtland Sutton. KJ Hamler is a bust as of right now. Jeudy is the receiver that's open like every play but nobody until now could throw the ball.

Counterpoint. When he's open, the QB hits him in the hands and he drops it.
