If he got injured from a hit running, the season was essentially over. That was Days answer to that question during the predraft process Also, It's been 30+ years and I'm still waiting to see a list of all these highly touted OSU QBs who busted. (That's not directed at you, but the idea in general) Just poor scouting IMO. People saw what he did to Georgia, then followed it up with "The greatest Pro Day/Combine I've ever seen from a QB prospect" according to many scouts and the Panthers still decided to trade the farm to not draft him.
