It’s literally was responsible for Rodgers MVP season last year. But you guys need the personnel to run the ball effectively. Brown-Lewis-Shell and two TE Parkinson and Dissly is a decent start. Penny (if 100%) could be really good if Seattle incorporates the Rams stretch-zone stuff. Big holes at LG and C though. He'd have a good running game, elite TE, a major burner at WR with Ruggs and great possession guy with Renfrow. The O would no doubt be lethal. Simple reason - NYJ owns Seattle's first round pick for 2022. No way you make this a rebuild, and there's no scenario outside of a DAL Dak-sign-and-trade (which Dak has to sign the tag first to allow, which takes away all of his leverage to get an extension). If Seattle can't mend fences by next offseason, sure, start looking around. But I don't see Seattle even sniffing a trade until next offseason. Seems very compatible with the story today. One huge qualifier, though - given Seattle's traded away their 2022 1st, it just doesn't make sense for them to deal Wilson this offseason. Next offseason, anything's fair game with Seattle owning their 2023 picks. Given that Wilson's agent hasn't formally asked for a trade, timing-wise this seems akin to Watson's meeting with the FO pre-extension - and asking for input on GM/HC hires (which can't be included in contracts), in exchange for the said extension. Except with Wilson's case, it's setting the stage for an exit - next offseason. While at the same time giving Seattle's FO a clear path to address Wilson's concerns so it's not needed next year (change the O to help the pass game be less predictable, and get help on the OL). Guess we'll see. If I'm Seattle, I modernize the O and address the OL. Pretty clear the concerns raised by Wilson are also echoed by the WR's (both Metcalf & Lockett said D's could counter Seattle's pass O very easy by dropping guys deep). It's far easier to replace Carroll than it is to replace a 32 year old Russell Wilson - who's likely to be at peak for 4-5 more years, provided said OL can keep him upright (and a more diverse passing O probably helps Wilson not have to try and be Superman on 1/3 to 1/4 of the passing plays).
