DeVonta Smith going to the Chiefs does make sense, Watkins is out, they need a legit #2 to take pressure off Hill and Kelce.  Smith could absolutely do that.  Sure OT makes sense but what Slater this high?  Smith is a great value at that selection, Slater would be a reach.  Could address OT later in the draft and based on how great the Chiefs are at developing OL talent it is not really an issue.

Have one of the best guards in the NFL with Joe Thuney which was a good signing.  Resigned Wylie who is versatile, Duvernay-Tardif I assume is coming back off his honorable work during the pandemic.  Allegretti is a damn good OG with upside.  Darryl Williams has potential, they brought back Remmers who was surprisingly good last year and got Rankin/Niang who could be the other OT.

Yeah, that's a bit puzzling.

Think they'd take a T to protect Mahomes.

I watched film on Slater and it was all solid he dominates pretty much everyone on film but we didn't trade up to get a 6'3 guy with trex arms and like 30 bench press reps to be our franchise LT.

The concern about DeVonta's size is overblown. You can't hit these WR's anymore without getting flagged Heisman WR's are generational. This isn't a 5'8 WR like Waddle or Tavon Austin. He's 6'1 with frakishly long arms. This is a prototype minus like 10-15 pounds. Thats it.

DeVonta is going to light up the NFL in our offense.
