GDT Week 1: Packers at Baers

Watson looks like he’s built a bit like a Ferrari to me.  Great when he works, but a lot of time in the shop. His legs are chiseled but look like they are wound tight as steel cables. I hope I’m wrong and he finds a training regimen that keeps his top speed but also keeps him from pulling muscles on those money makers. I have no doubt a lot of these young guys will miss some time as they develop but damn I really want to give Love the best chance at making a splash debut.

Wasn’t there a game two years ago where all the receivers were basically out? We ran the ball and did play action and I believe Lazard had an amazing day and the packers won. If Watson and Doubs are out I’d expect for a similar game plan with Toure getting the lazzard treatment and Heath getting the start opposite of him and of course Reed in the slot.

Yeah the recipe was get Aaron Jones out on the perimeter. If we're missing those two, I'd give Dillon the bulk of the carries and treat Jones more like a slot than a RB.

Cardinals game 2 years ago rings a bell. Juwann Winfree, Randall Cobb and Amari Rodgers were our top 3 wideouts.

Agree .. not sure why these occur with the medical/training staffs pro teams have.  I get it that crap happens but the Packers wr's certainly have more than their share of soft tissue problems.

As rookies, Watson and Doubs had the ultimate mentor in Hammy Watkins.
