I understand this from a Vikings perspective…I don’t understand this from a Texans perspective.

Wouldnt you want your 1st rounder with your stud QB on a rookie deal and in a division that’s theirs for the taking?

Is it just me or is that compensation really tame for Houston?

Yeah, I don’t get the move at all for them. Maybe if they got a future first out of it. But that’s a lot of ground to lose for just a future 2nd.

Per the Rich Hill trade value chart, pick 3 is worth 514, 4 is worth 491, and 5 is worth 468.

Picks 11 and 23 combined are worth 603. Given the QB tax that is added into to big trade ups for QBs, the Vikings now theoretically have enough pick value to move up. Now it is all about finding a trade partner and making sure your guy is available.
