How Are Those Rookies Doing?

He looks fully Lionized, which is very impressive considering he's only played one game in the NFL.

He didn't play week 1 reportedly because of a hamstring, but there are rumors that he would have only played every third or fourth series if he were active.

Week 2 he was the second lowest graded CB by PFF. He led the team in tackles (because he gave up so many completions) and honestly looked lost out there. Davante Adams made him look silly a couple of times but, I mean, Adams is an elite route runner and this was Okudah's first game in the NFL. What's more concerning is that Valdez-Scantling also made him look silly.

He was in man to man for a lot of his snaps so it's not like he was blowing zone responsibilities, he was just getting beat. There's rumblings that he's been a diva throughout training camp as well. All in all, it's one game against a Hall of Fame QB and a Pro Bowl WR and there's logically no way he's not going to get better, it's just a bit concerning to see and hear, especially when C.J. Henderson has been balling out for Jacksonville.

I wouldnt be too concerned about that as a Lions fan. Okudah will shape up just fine with more experience. While MVS isn't refined and has a long ways to go before realizing his potential, he is still a 6'4" man running a 4.37.

Jerry Jeudy has too much trouble catching the ball. Not sure why. EXCELLENT at getting open. Just needs to catch the ball.

KJ Hamler WR- has been hurt. Caught a few balls against Pitt. Nothing Fancy.

Lloyd Cushenberry C- Had some trouble with Cam Heyward and Tuitt but did ok for the most part. Probably our best rookie. Much for us to be excited about.

Michael Ojemudia CB- Got burned by Claypool after he got away with a push off. Played very well against the Titans. If not for push off by Claypool, he would've had a decent game here too.

Mctelvin Agim DE/DT- Will get a chance to get into the rotation this week against the Bucs.

Albert Okweugbunam TE- Hasn't even been active yet. Let down. Thought he was for sure going to be the 2nd TE but instead we have some clown named Nick Vannett ahead of him and the brick handed clumsy Jake Butt.

The rest of the rookies are on IR or Practice Squad for the rest of the year.

Lynn Bowden=traded for a 4th, yikes

It's probably the right time to point out that Bowden is currently out on his own among wide receivers when it comes to yardage this year, albeit for the wrong reasons as he has the least yards at the position with -1.

L’Jarius Sneed through 2 weeks:

7 Targets
2 Interceptions
2 Completions
28.6% Completion Percentage
19 Yards Allowed
9.5 Yards/Comp
2.7 Yards/Target

0.0 Passer Rating Allowed

League leader in interceptions

Not bad for a who? From where?

Michael Danna is starting to gain PT as well. At least he played a year at Michigan.

How has Hopkins looked so far? I was hoping the Chiefs would take him in the 4th-5th range.

Hopkins had good reviews in camp. From what I heard, he has good hands. I think he’s still picking up the offense but McVay sounded excited about him

He looks to be the long term replacement for Gerald Everett.

Aftet a really promising start the Raiders rookies have kind if ground to a halt this past week. At the moment, our rookies seem to be in the treatment room;

Rd1 WR Ruggs hamstring

Rd1 CB Arnette broken thumb

No Rd2 pick

Rd3 RB Bowden already traded

Rd3 WR Edwards ankle injury

Rd3 LB Muse IR since camp

Rd4 OG Simpson filled in reasonably well for Richie Incognito who's on IR but RD5 CB Robertson hasn't been activated yet though most Raider fans really want to see what he looks like in game action.

Pretty frustrating.

Jordan Love- Inactive 3rd string QB behind Tim Boyle who by all accounts had a great preseason. Love got fairly mixed reviews.

AJ Dillon - 3rd string RB, Aaron Jones is the star but Williams has really picked up his game leaving little snaps for Dillon. What few snaps he has had he has looked pretty good though. 7 rushes in VERY VERY obvious rush situations with 31 yards.

Josiah Deguara - Probably the most impressive rookie. Had a great week 1 blocking in the H Back role. Was injured so didn't play week 2 or 3.

Kamal Martin - The star of training camp but was injured to start the season. With Kirksey hurt he may find himself in a larger role.

Jon Runyan - Played some snaps week 1 due to injury and looked very competent. Hasnt had to play since.

The rest - Not much of note.
