I wish I could see our rookies more but they all are getting injured, a consistent theme with Gase as a HC. 

Becton looked dominant, but has a injury that Gase really screwed up with.

I really want to see Mims play but the guy is MIA with a injury.

Mann seems to be improving as a punter lol.

He's been really good, we where expecting him to struggle because how raw he was but he's already our best DT on the team. His effort has been outstanding getting better every game.

Better than I expected from a limited perspective. Problem is I don't know how impactful that is yet. No sacks, no tackles in the backfield. Limited pressures. But he's winning his battles. So it's weird

CB Jeff Okudah- Inconsistent. He’ll make a good play and then get burned for a big play. He’s showing flashes of promise but he hasn’t solidified himself yet.

RB D’Andre Swift- He’s outplaying Kerryon Johnson as our #2 RB and has gained confidence from Stafford in the passing game. Outside of dropping the GW TD in the first game, I would dare say he’s playing brilliantly. 

OG Jonah Jackson- He earned a starting G spot and has played well through 5 games. Very solid pick.

DE/LB- Julian Okwara- Inconsistent. It almost feels like Patricia doesn’t know where or how to play him. 

WR- Quintez Cephus- Has played well when he plays, but he’s behind Golladay, Jones, Amendola, Hall, Agnew on the depth chart. 

DL- John Penisini- Solid depth DL. won’t wow you or make any pro bowls but he’s been solid. 
 

Outside of getting more playing time for Cephus and OG Logan Stenberg, this has been a good rookie class for us so far.

1st - Wilson - Has yet to play but he better get ready with Lewan potentially out. Needs to quit acting like a kid.

2nd - Fulton - Not terrible but not good either. Missed time in TC that slowed him down

3rd - Evans - Hamstring issue has lingered all season and he’s on short term IR now.

5th - Murchison - Solid last game and nothing outside of that.

7th - McDonald - Cut before season started. No clue where he’s at.

7th - Jackson - Not bad but not good either. Definitely outplayed the 7th round status so far I guess.

Definitely not one of Robinson’s best drafts but it’s far too early to call it a failure.

1st - CeeDee Lamb, WR - Been great, making a case to be the best receiver on the team already. Has a bright future. How he fell to #17 still amazes me.

2nd - Trevon Diggs, CB - Has had some bumps, which is to be expected for a rookie corner, but overall I think he's going to be a solid #1 CB for us. 

3rd - Neville Gallimore, DT - Was inactive a couple games, saw more snaps since Trysten Hill went down. Has been hit or miss when on the field. 

4th(a) - Reggie Robinson, CB - Listed as a safety. Hasn't really seen much playing time. 

4th(b) - Tyler Biadasz, C - May very well be the successor to Travis Frederick for us. A steal. 

5th - Bradlee Anae, DE - Hasn't gotten a lot of playing time, but the one time he did he generated a QB pressure. A lot of scouts, media guys, etc. are high on him, so we'll see. 

7th - Ben DiNucci, QB - Hasn't seen the field. Could develop into a spot-starter but again, we'll see.

#1.1: Kinlaw - His bull rush and his strength are bananas. This dude could move a mountain if he tried. He literally threw Will Hernandez aside like he was a kid when we played the Giants. Will Hernandez is a large, strong, and angry human. Kinlaw is a little strange, though. He wins a fair amount of his battles but doesn't hit home or make plays in the backfield much.

PFF and analytics love Kinlaw, but he's rarely mentioned. He plays almost 100% of the snaps every game and has a few heads up plays, like sniffing out a screen play or batting down passes. He's pretty stout in the run game. When he refines his pass rush game, he will emerge as a star. 

 

#1.2: Aiyuk. Dude is legit. He's so freaking explosive and sure-handed. He was dinged in the draft process because people felt (including me) that he wasn't quite pro ready and he was hampered by an injury during the combine, which lead people to think he wasn't as athletic as he appeared on tape. Boy, is that false. 

Aiyuk came into TC and owned the starting WR spot out of the gate. He was turning heads left and right with his quick absorption of the playbook and pure playmaking ability. Then, like all good things with the 49ers, he got injured just before the season started. He's healthy now and showing why he was a 1st round pick. 

It's all about getting the ball in his hands quickly and letting him weave through the defense. It's pure joy watching him play.

 

#5: Colton McKivitz: Tackle out of WVU. He's a project who is more of a pass blocker than run blocker. He's on the 53 and dresses every game, but doesn't play much at all.

 

#6: Charlie Woerner: His calling card is blocking and he's proving to be a good one at that. Basically a clone of Nick Boyle. Great blocker, not much else. Trent Williams and Kittle both said he was the best pure blocker on the team during TC. Kittle also said he reminded him of himself during his last year at Iowa, comfortable as a blocker and still finding himself as a pass catcher. I don't expect Woerner to become Kittle 2.0, but I think Woerner will make a nice living as a #3 TE/blocking specialist for a long time. 

 

#7: Jauan Jennings: He was cut at the end of TC and is currently on the PS. His lack of athletism was very apparent in TC, but so was his toughness out of the slot. The jury is still out on him.

 

UDFAs

JaMycal Hasty: RB out of Baylor. Super fast with wiggle. Can catch and block out of the backfield. Has been a protected PS guy every week. He's gotten into games late a few times, but last night against the Rams, he was given the opportunity to be a closer over McKinnon, which says alot because McKinnon has be very reliable for us this season. Hasty is showing his quickness and burst. It's only a matter of time until he pulls a Mostert and hits a big one at 21+ MPH.
