ny92mike
Alright so here it is. Might be a little difficult to view but you can check out the results in the workbook if you like, this info is contained in sheet19. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZqKjQMGd4Drvzuh5qF0iaMZCJQxBTpshBJk97CQhtYk/edit?usp=sharing I added three columns at the end of this, Overall Pick Dif., Pick Match and Team Match to Player. Using the overall pick numbers, if you drafted a player earlier than irl it shows as a negative number, and a positive if you drafted later. There were some steals in this draft when comparing to irl such as the following names, these guys went much earlier irl then in this mock. 7TH 23 241 DEN Jahlani Tavai LB Hawaii 7TH 4 222 OAK Sione Takitaki LB BYU 6TH 12 188 KC Jalen Hurd WR Baylor 5TH 6 146 CLE L. ny92mike
Haha...I look at what the IRL Giants did and what I did. So glad Gettleman was making the picks...However, I didn't have the draft pick volume that the IRL giants got to play with, no excuse though. Really outside the question of the team reaching for Jones, Gettleman had an exceptional draft again this year, just hate everything else he does with the franchise.
Scoundrel
Well I had plus hits on all my picks except Cortez Broughton which I picked 39 picks earlier in the sixth than where he went in the 7th. But landed 1.10 Devin Bush at 25 1.17 Dexter Lawrence at 21 1.25 Marquise Brown at

I agree loved the draft except first round. Although I dint mind the players in Jones and Lawence thought you should have picked premium player at 6 then got Jones at 17 although if the franchise was set on Jones they were right to get their man. A lot will depend on if Lawrence is a three down player and using a first round pick to replace snacks seems wrong. Love every other pick right down to the 7th. sparky151
Shouldn't it be based on overall point difference not pick difference? Missing by 10 picks in round 7 is a lot less consequential than missing by 10 in round 1. That's why the draft charts exist.

Also hard to compare as the IRL FA additions are vastly different than the TCMD. Complete shift in needs in the 2 situations.

Yeah I mean I took Bush 15 picks later in the first but because I took Broughton in the sixth instead of the 7th I got a -39 on that pick lol

EaglesPeteC
Tillery, Bunting and Sanders I got lower than they went IRL. Everyone else I picked higher including all of my late round picks (Hart, Worthington, Granderson) went undrafted Can't remember who threw down with me when I said that Bunting was going in the 2nd IRL and then he goes ahead of Greedy. I called my shot there and won.... Man my love for Charles Omenihu did not translate on draft day lol
EaglesPeteC
This offsets how wrong I was on Omenihu right? On 3/19/2019 at 6:55 PM, EaglesPeteC said: Sean Bunting will go in the 2nd round. Greedy Williams Byron Murphy DeAdre Baker Trayvon Mullen Amani Oruwariye Julian Love Justin Layne Rock Ya-Sin JoeJuan Williams I have all of these guys pretty comfortably ahead of Bunting. I think he is a really nice player, and has a shot of going 3rd but I think where you took him is pretty much his range. There are a bunch of teams at the bottom of the 2nd that need secondary help, so you could always be right. The quote of me the context might be off if you think I was low on him. I got him in the 6th the mock before which I thought was a steal so I was targeting a little higher than before, but posted saying nice pick I was hoping to snipe him in the fifth. I took DeAndre Baker in this one in the first so taking Bunting earlier than the 4th is kinda outta the question with Casey Heyward and Baker as the starters. Wasn't at all hating on the Bunting pick, I took him the mock before this one lol.

I wasn't a fan of using the pick we acquired in the Odell trade on a NT, especially after they traded Snacks. So he basically traded a quality NT in Snacks to Detroit for a 5th round pick and then he turns around and uses a 1st round pick 17 at the same position. I think this GM does an outstanding job at drafting players but he is horrible when it comes to free agency and dealing with the roster. If we still had Snacks, we could have used that pick at another position perhaps. I'd also like to kick him in his balls for once again not addressing the offensive line. Clearly have issues with the Offensive line and he waits until the 7th round to draft a tackle. It was painful to watch the draft because each round I got to see tackles or offensive lineman in general get drafted and knowing the need. Still some Free Agents (Ryan Schraeder, even after losing a step would be an upgrade over Wheeler) or a possible trade, wouldn't be surprised after he drafted 3 corners that Janoris Jenkins isn't traded away in the very near future. Would just about complete the destruction of this team and once Manning leaves he can officially say that this roster is all his. Outside of Eli Manning he's the highest paid player on the roster that he didn't sign. His high priced (making over 6 million this season) signings include Nate Solder, Alec Ogletree, Kevin Zeitler and Golden Tate.
