Either way, life is better in @CWood21 's  basement with @Norm 's mom's meatloaf.  Even if @Packerraymond 's kid is going to be crying in the future.  

What is "it?" I legit have no idea.  I was at Packer Chatters for a while, DaveatMizzou, but I left when they changed the format of the site, I just didn't like it.  I came there from the ESPN boards way back in the day.  The layout pissed me off so I left.  I never got into any politics there.  I have been using this site since 2001 or whenever I joined, I don't know.

IMO paying Adams that salary would only have made sense if we weren't carrying *top dollar* players elsewhere.

Who knows what world we'll be living in just a few years from now with the new cap.....but we cant have "highest paid" at every position...or at least I dont think it's smart.

The fact we almost DID pay him this salary..............well, I'm just wishing Davante all the best in his new endeavors and thanking him for years past.

Davante Adams cap hit is 8.17M this year not 28M.   He's using cap numbers for the others but total cash outlay for Davante which seems unfair comparison in yr 1.

It does look like it climbs to 30M next year so point still stands, even though each of the above's cap hits also climb yr 2

All 1st yr cap hits are low since they spread the signing bonus out over the length of the contract and minimize the base salary yr 1.   Cap hit climbs to 8.2 next year and over 13M the following.

Yep, those numbers are deceptive at best.  A good example of how someone with an agenda can skew what are technically accurate numbers to make them say pretty much whatever they want.  The dumbest part is he could have made the same point using far less deceptive numbers.
