Slappy Mc
THE 2024 WASHINGTON FORUM DRAFT COMPETITION!! - RESULTS ARE IN!! You guys should be familiar with the contest, but I will go over the rules just in case. At each pick in the first round, you will select a: Team Position Player For that pick. SOME ADMINISTRATIVE STUFF I am ONLY going by the position listed at NFL.COM for that player. I don't care if you think that OT from that FCS school is going to play Guard in the NFL. If he's listed as OT on NFL.COM, then if you list him as a Guard, you will only get credit for the player and not the position. Again...this is important. Because in the past, this was the difference between someone winning and someone coming in 2nd in the competition. I'm not going to try to do judgement calls on if you're right about his projection. Similarly, if he's listed as OLB and you think he will be moved inside to ILB, don't list him as ILB or LB if NFL.COM does not have him listed as that position. I hope I've been clear. Go here to see what position the player is https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/prospects/ Only one entry per person You can change your entry as many times as you'd like. However, you MAY NOT enter or change your entry after the draft has started. I will lock this whole thing once it starts. But in the off chance that I don't get to it right then, it means any entry or change to an entry... AFTER 7pm EST on Thursday April 27, 2023 ... will be disqualified. I'm serious about this rule as there have been some disqualifications in the past for this. Don't do it! All questions will be answered in a special FAQ post. Moderator has final call on deciding any unforeseen issue. SCORING The scoring works as follows: Basic Correct Team = 2 points Correct Position = 3 points Correct Player = 5 points So if you had Washington at #2 and you picked Redskins, QB Drake Maye and it was indeed Maye, you would get a total of 10 points (x any modifiers - which at pick 2 is "x1" - see below) If you identified the team making the 2nd pick and had them selecting QB Drake Maye and they selected another QB instead, you would only get 5 points (before modifiers) But here is where the scoring gets interesting. MODIFIERS It is sometimes easier to pick the first 5 picks in the first round than figure out who is going to trade down in (or trade back up into) the round. So we weight the picks with a multiplier. The multiplier is as follows: Picks 1-5 = x1 Picks 6-10 = x2 Picks 11-15 = x3 Picks 16-24 = x4 Picks 25-31+ = x5 So if you correctly guess all three variables (team, position, player) at pick 5 it would get you only 10 points (10x1). But getting it right at pick 31 nets you 50 points (10x5). REDSKINS PICK (Special Scoring) Regardless of where the Redskins picks, we will still score it. But this pick is scored differently. We score it regardless of where it is. So if you have the Redskins picking at #2 and they trade down to #13 we will score it and add to your total. So let's say you have at #13 Redskins TE Brock Bowers And they do, then you get 10pts x the modifier of x2 for 20 points. But lets say the Redskins trade down to #31. Well, unless the #31 pick is a TE or Bowers, you will get ZERO points at that pick at #32. But... If at #31, they pick Bowers, then you get credit for TE and Bowers (so 8 points). 8pts x5 = 40 pts But if at #31, the Redskins take TE Ben Sinnott, you will only get 3 points (for TE). This will also be available for modifiers as well just in case you had the Chiefs picking a TE at #31. So it would be 3pts x 5 for 15 points. This total would then be available for a bonus if you correctly pick where they end up taking their first pick (see below) REDSKINS PICK BONUS Ok, so there should be something extra for knowing what our favorite team does, right? What if we know they will stand pat at #2? What if the Redskins trade down and you correctly call it? Well, then you're in luck!! If you correctly pick where they end up taking their first pick (even if they stay put at #2 or even if its the 2nd round), then your results for that draft pick are at an additional 20 point modifier in added to any other modifiers applied above. So if you have the Redskins trading down to pick #13 and you get all 3 variables right the scoring is as follow Team/Position/Player = 10 Modifier = x4 Redskins Pick Bonus = 20 points So you'd get 60 points for that correct pick!! NOTE--> If the Redskins trades out of the 1st round completely and don't pick until the 2nd round we will still score that pick and add it to your total. It just will delay the results of the competition. TIEBREAKERS We've had to do tiebreakers in the past. The tiebreakers work as follows (in this order): The entry that has the most completely correct picks (all three variables correct) wins. The entry that got the most points from the WFT pick (wherever the pick was made) Pick a number from 1-20. Closest wins. *Slappy Mc Note* I didn't want to create the topic, but we are less than a week away and clearly @Thaiphoon doesn't feel the need to do it anymore after winning the past two. If there are any corrections for players from last year to this year that I missed, I apologize. I also encourage people to consider putting a second 1st round pick for Washington in the event they trade up. OKAY...these are the callouts for people to get on here and get their picks in!! @e16bball@Woz@PSID412@lavar703@HTTRDynasty@naptownskinsfan@Thaiphoon@TOUCAN@Daboyle @MKnight82@RSkinGM@daskins@Jeezy Fanatic@ripsean21@JoshstraDaymus@mar29020 @Skinsin2013@Marcus21@BuckleyBoy@DJG@FosterTheSkins@PARROTHEAD@RaykwonDaChef @CodeRed@Umbaugh21@SeattleSkin@SeanTaylorsaPIMP@4209@Skinscavalier@Dashing202 @bigdog44@Dutch Redskins fan@Slappy Mc@Almm24@daboyle250@KewlBeanz@Duoathome @Troublez@C-hokie-ole@Vladimir L@Skins212689@ARTMONK HOF@aceinthehouse

Thaiphoon
Thanks for posting this Slappy. I was going to do this about 2 weeks ago and then had a grave medical issue with my MIL getting sick and then I immediately had to go on an assignment for my company. I was just going to do this tonight as I got back early this a.m. on a red eye. To be clear, I will always want to do this each year. This is my fault fellas and I apologize for not getting it up earlier. @Slappy Mc let me know if you have it or if you'd like to hand it back off to me to do the dirty work of keeping track of the scores. Many thanks for posting this and again, my apologies to all.

Thaiphoon
Guys. Please remember to list the player at the position that is listed here: https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/prospects/ Do NOT just list him because you think "hey he's a OLB and I'll list him at that" or "He's a DE, I'll put that down". If... https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/prospects/ says... George Jetson - EDGE Then if you think a team will draft him, then put the team and then George Jetson - EDGE I warn you guys every year and still some people end up leaving points on the table.
