Rams TCMD Summary

Free Agency

With very limited cap space, most of our impending free agents, we had to settle of letting go in free agency and we had to be very selective in our free agent additions.

Tender CB Darious Williams as a 2nd Round RFA

Williams broke out last year in the slot for the Rams with 4 INTS, holding on to him as an RFA.

Resign C Austin Blythe

Blythe is a solid center that I was able to keep at a reasonable price.

Sign G Forrest Lamp

A small 2 year deal for a player I really liked coming out that hasn’t lived up to his draft stock. With limited cap space, this is the kind of low risk, high reward signing the Rams shoot for.

Sign LB Shon Dion Hamilton

Again a small 2 year deal for a player than has shown flashes. The Rams have some intriguing nice pieces at ILB but adding another solid player who we believe in to that mix can only help

Sign CB Levi Wallace

Wallace has been a solid inside/outside CB for the Bills with a high level CB on the other side. With Ramsey in the fold and Darius Williams at the slot getting a young, CB with starting experience to hold down the other spot would be a good get for the Rams.

Sign OLB Dee Ford

Rams open up their pocket book at little for Dee Ford. Ford played his best ball is KC in the 3-4 scheme with a dominate interior player in Chris Jones to support him. After disappointing and injury filled years in SF, the Rams jump at the opportunity to bring some experience to a very young pass rushing group

Sign WR Willie Snead

A vet minimum 1 year deal for a reliable slot player to back up Cooper Kupp.

Sign WR Phillip Dorsett

A vet minimum deal to bolster WR depth. If Dorsett can hit on a couple big plays over the course of the year, he is worth the money.

Trade T Rob Havenstein to the Raiders for 5th round pick

After drafting a T high, I sell off Havenstein to get the cap space for the last 3 FA signings.

DRAFT

2- Tevin Jenkins T Oklahoma St.

I feel like I got a round 1 player deep in Round 2. Jenkins starts off as the starter at RT and then flips to LT once Whitworth retires.

3- Ifeatu Melifonwu CB Syracuse

I have a 2nd round grade on Melifonwu. A long athletic CB that could excel as the long term running mate to Ramsey. In year one, Melifonwu can move to the outside and Levi Wallace can slide inside on Dime packages

3- Amon-Ra St. Brown WR USC

I traded up to grab another play I have a 2nd round grade on here. St. Brown is dynamic from the slot and with Woods and Kupp both holding high cap numbers and losing Josh Reynolds in Free Agency, getting a young, cheap and talented WR in the pipeline was a must.

5- Hamilcar Rashed Jr EDGE Oregon St.

I see Rashed as a fridge 3rd or 4th round player. A raw but athletic pass rusher to add to the mix of raw but athletic pash rushers already in the building.

5- James Wiggins S Cincinnati

We had to let John Johnson walk but there is a lot of confidience in the building for players like Taylor Rapp and Jordan Fuller, but Wiggins was BPA and along with 2nd year Terrell Burgess gives the Rams a young and cost controlled Safety room

6- Ben Cleveland OG Georgia

Once again a group that I need to go young and cheap. Cleveland his a high floor technically sound guard that might have started upside

6- Victor Dimukeje DE Duke

This was pure BPA. A little out of position in this 3-4 but Victor can be useful as an interior rusher on pass downs.

7- Peyton Hendershot TE Indiana

Off the field issues have pushed Hendershot in this flier category, but he has the athletic upside to be a pass catching option. After letting Gerald Everett walk, a high upside TE to add along with another high upside TE in Brycen Hopkins from last year is good here in the 7th
