Deadpulse
VS Come one come all to the tournament arc to end all tournament arcs - MCU characters. For those of you who partook in the Best TV Show of All Time contest, this will run very similarly. Please keep in mind this is NOT a popularity contest. This is a who is the strongest/would win in a fight contest. Please do not consider powerset/abilities from the comics, strictly keep to what has be shown in the MCU. skywindO2
If Dr. Strange can beat Dormammu, so can Tilda Swinton.

He trapped him, but Strange was getting killed every single time.

Xenos
Hard one. Dormammuu if we’re talking a straight fight with no trickery.
ET80
A good portion of TAO’s power came from Dormammu, so I don’t see her winning - even with the Time Stone.
diamondbull424
Depends on what one defines as “winning”. Strange “won” due to willpower, gameplan, and strategy. However TAO was able to figure out a way to siphon Dormamu’s power without ever allowing him to manipulate her. I’d consider that “winning”. Then while Strange technically was consistently destroyed by Dormammu, that was within Dormammu’s dimension where he’s essentially god and controls that dark dimension with near impunity. Only another dimensional threat could challenge him there. All Dormammu basically does is create a Ponzi scheme where he promises power to unsuspecting people, then once they “fall for it” he steals from them their energy instead, enslaving not only them but their entire universe as well. TAO on the other hand steals dimensional energy from a multitude of sources. As explained in Doctor Strange, the sorcerer is someone that hacks other dimensions/realities to apply those dimensional laws/realities to our own. Enabling someone to hack our universe to allow flight from another dimension that has flight as a prerequisite within its structure for example. So in theory as the Sorcerer Supreme that has lived for hundred of years, TAO has access to dimensional energies that go beyond just the Dark Dimension (as shown in the movies). So on neutral ground she could battle Dormammu and take advantage of the fact that the dark dimension does not have time included within its structure as Strange did. This would be something that Dormammu, not existing within time would have no preparation for. For him he would lose for the same reason he lost against Strange, he doesn’t comprehend the complexities of time and would thus lose due to a lack of perseverance. He also could potentially be overwhelmed within a neutral dimension. Using a DC Comics reference but just like the true Darkseid is far stronger than his proxy that exists within “reality” (and has for example lost to Superman), I’d suspect the same would be true of Dormammu outside of the Dark Dimension. So on neutral ground, I think TAO wins this fight. However if we’re assuming this fight takes place within the Dark Dimension and she’s without a Time Stone, than it’s highly improbable that she has a path to victory, unless she can pull from some Gods/Goddesses of other dimensions and overwhelm Dormammu, however since we haven’t yet seen this type of display within the MCU it wouldn’t be fair to suggest that as a path to an assured victory. I’ll say TAO wins, but I’m only at a 6/10 confidence as it ultimately depends on the setup. MKnight82
If the Ancient One could have stopped Dormamu she would have a long time ago.

However, its "the Ancient One" we technically have to consider in this match, not Tilda.
